My name is Tommy Mortallero, and I am the Recruitment Chairman of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity here at the University of Missouri. Our chapter is not only the first Fraternity founded at the University of Missouri, but at any land grant institution and public university west of the Mississippi River. We are happy that you are interested in taking the first step in becoming part of this rich history.
Phi Psi participates in both formal and informal recruitment. Formal recruitment takes place the week before classes commence and is a three-day process that allows you to get a look into each chapter here on campus. Each chapter is unique in their own way, so this is a great opportunity to find which fraternity is best for you.
If for some reason you cannot attend formal recruitment, Phi Psi also spends a lot of time recruiting informally. Our chapter looks to recruit well-rounded men who exemplify a good balance between academics, extracurricular activities, and social life. We strive to find men of character who we are confident will continue driving our chapter to its full potential and will serve as role models in the community. There is a Phi Psi recruitment chairman in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis and Columbia, who is responsible for hosting events throughout the summer in those areas. Once you fill out the following form, the appropriate chairman will contact you.
I find great excitement in your interest in joining the rich, long-standing traditions of Phi Kappa Psi, and I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors here at Mizzou.
